How is your custom hat made?
-
Meet the creator during a private appointment to define your project. We start with an in-depth discussion about your style, the intended use of the hat (heritage, travel, daily wear), and your preferences: shape (capeline, fedora, trilby…), color, brim width, and the possible addition of a chain, medallion, or charm.
The creator takes your exact measurements (head circumference, crown height, position of the hat on your head) and creates sketches or moodboards. Together, we choose the materials (felt, straw, wool, organza), their origin, and the finishes (brim, stitching, lining). This step sets the framework for a truly bespoke hat and ensures that the piece will tell your personal story.

The workshop creates a prototype or initial form (canvas, blocking, or felt mock-up) that allows us to evaluate the hat’s volume, drape, and balance. During a fitting, we check the fit, comfort, and visual effect — the capeline must respect the posture and style you desire.
Based on this fitting, the creator makes adjustments: modifying the brim angle, refining the crown, retouching the lining, or repositioning embellishments (chain, medallion). Several iterations may be necessary to achieve the perfection of a truly bespoke hat.

Once the pattern is approved, the final piece is handcrafted by the creator: shaping, sewing, lining installation, and creation and attachment of decorative elements (crafted chain, medallions, embroidery). Every detail is carefully checked: stitch consistency, brim stability, material quality, and adherence to the original choices.
Before delivery, the creator performs a thorough quality control and prepares personalized care instructions. The hat is presented with guidance on maintenance and, if desired, an after-sales service (adjustments, cleaning, repairs). Your bespoke hat then becomes a durable, intimate, and unique piece — designed to travel with you.
